PLANTED BY THE RIVERS?

 

Ps.1.3 - And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. [KJV]

 

   Welcome to the 9th edition of the Watchers' voice to shape and bring your life into focus and alignment with the will of God. Reflecting on our topic : PLANTED BY THE RIVERS ! Why does God liken  the man who does not walk according to the counsel of the ungodly to a tree planted by the rivers of living water? What are the characteristics of a tree planted by the rivers of living water? We shall be answering the following questions in our devotion today, welcome and stay tune !

 

       A tree that is planted by the rivers of water has access to all the minerals in their right proportion for growth and fruit bearing. Because the tree is planted by the rivers, its roots are deeply rooted and has no fear of drought and adverse condition. The leafs  of such trees are ever green and flourishing. When leafs of other trees are turning brown and falling, the tree planted by the rivers of water is never disturbed. The tree by the rivers has the assurance of fruit bearing and survival. Why will God use this typology to describe the righteous? The believer must reflect and meditate on this scripture for insight and useful lesson !

 

       Your life as a Christian is compared to the tree planted by the rivers of water. You are supposed to have deep root as a Christian, your foundation must be firmly rooted in Christ Jesus such that no situation or circumstance should be able to pull you out. You need to be well grounded in Chrit Jesus and His Word. Your union and fellowship with the Holy Spirit and the Son Jesus ( the Word) establishes your foundation on a solid rock that can not be moved. The Christian whose foundation is in Christ can not be moved by economic tides, political tides, recessions, changes, turbulences, and name them. Why? Because you are rooted in Christ the solid rock and anchored by the Holy Spirit ( Rivers of living water). This is what gives the assurance of your fruit bearing. You will definitely bear fruit in all aspects of your life because of this truth and reality of who you are. You only need to be planted by the rivers. If you are not bearing fruit, then check the soil on which you are planted, check the river, maybe it is a swimming pool that is dirty.

 

     Every Christian who fulfils the conditions of righteous in Psalm 1 bears fruit in his season. It is important to note that everyone has his season of fruit bearing. Trust God and the process of growth and development, at the right season and time, your fruit will be evident to all, walk before the Lord, fear the Lord and depart from evil, check your soil !

 

   May your leaf never wither in Jesus name, may you prosper in all your undertakings in Jesus name.

Your voice shall be heard  and registered in your generation in Jesus name, mark my words!

LET PEACE RULE IN YOUR HEART?

 

Col.3.15 - Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful. [NIV]

 

     " When you know that your life is being directed by God, regardless of the disappointments and challenges that may and will come, you will have inner peace and joy"... Russell M. Nelson

 

         You can be on the  UN Peace mission and yet not have peace in your heart, you can be on the  Peace Council and not have peace yourself. You can be rich and affluent in the sight of the world and yet be the most distressed and disappointed in life. You can even be a pastor and yet not have peace. Peace ruling in your  heart is not a small commodity, but a coveted gift of God.                                

         How do you feel when you have anxiety ruling your heart? The brain sends signal to your body to increase your heart rate, respiration rate ans corresponding increase in blood pressure.  You would be killing yourself slowly when you do not have peace ruling in your heart. A person without heart peace looks older than the real age, looks depressed, disorganized and presents with a nauseating outlook. Do not trade your inner peace for anything on earth. 

      The world is full of people with casual peace : outward happiness but looks depressed inside. Always remember that the invisible controls the visible, the unseen controls the seen, what is inside ( the heart) controls what is outside.

 A lot of medical and even surgical conditions are precipitated by lack of heart peace among people. Lack of peace in your heart facilitates  the release of stress hormones, hence unexplained conditions among certain population.

 

       On the other hand, inner peace and joy produces reduced heart rate, respiration rate and lowered blood pressure. Such people seems to have good outlook and appearance, more organized and have the ability to maintain good relationship, are emotionally balanced. Seek for heart peace, you can be in the midst of trouble and yet have peace, you can be disappointed by issues and circumstance and yet have heart peace. This peace can not be bought by academic credentials and office position, nor status. Heart peace only comes by accepting Jesus and allowing Him to reside in your heart and guide you through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit comforts us with the comfort of God in the midst of all the trials and troubles we  may and will hopefully go  through in life. That was why Paul even in prison, could write books like Philippians and admonish the recipients to rejoice again and rejoice. How could a prison inmate have peace to write one of the best books in the Bible?

 

        How could Daniel have peace in the lion's den?

How could Joseph have the inner fortitude and tenacity to remain resilient and purposeful in the prison? Joseph was misrepresented and was sentenced without a trial, yet he was peaceful and was in service at the prison. 

         Not being able to carry out your normal Christian duties and life duties in the midst of trouble and challenges is a positive sign of not having inner peace. Many men of God today are not even having inner peace, they are seen to be happy but inwardly cry and feel depressed after the leave the pulpit. Your peace must be built on Christ, your peace must be solid and sure, nothing should shake up the foundation of your peace. If your peace is based on the possession of political power and position, you would lose that peace when you lose power.

 

       I command peace to be still in your life now in Jesus name. I command peace in your marriage now, I command peace in your family now, I command peace in your finances now, I command peace in your ministry now, I command peace in your academics now, I command peace in the storm now, I command peace to rule in that community now, Let there be peace among Ghanaians now in Jesus name. Jesus was asleep in the midst of the stop, what a Man of peace that the world have ever know! Jesus is the prince of peace.

ONE THING I DO ?

 

Phil.3.13 - Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, [ALL]

 

    Failure may look like a fact, but it is only an opinion. Successful people believe that mistakes are just feedback. It is not how far you fall but how high you bounce that makes all the difference . This brings me to our topic for the day : ONE THING I DO !

One of the keys to success in life is to forget about even the success of yesterday and press on for higher success in life. We can not make great exploits in life if we cling on to the achievements of the past. We need to have a new perspective and approach to life as we begin the new year. Our attitude will determine our altitude. 

Failure  is a feedback to start again and start strategically. If you are going to achieve your goals and aspirations, then you need to let go of the past failures, disappointments from friends and loved ones, forgive them and forge ahead. There is no room in life for resentments and keeping peoples'  bad records. If you do that your life memory will be full and you would not be able to function in your full capacity.

 

     You need to keep your focus and decide to cultivate a discipline habit in 2021. This one thing could be prayer, commitment to the studies of the Word of God, reading one book per month, attending a leadership seminar quarterly, changing friends who have no value for your life, increasing your love for the Lord and helping someone in this year. Be focused and keep your eyes on this one thing. You should acquire some new skill in 2021, new knowledge, expand your influence and add value to yourself. As you keep your eyes on your life's assignment, you will eventually get to the place of fulfilment in life.

 

   If it must be done, the time is now, become a better version of yourself in 2021, kill procrastination now!

 

   Always remember that paths without obstacles do not lead anywhere.

 

May the Lord bless and keep you and grant you the wisdom to stay focus and run the race of life in Jesus name.

Genesis 6:11

"And the earth was evil in God's eyes and full of violent ways."

 

   One of the greatest wisdom in life is to study history and precedence and predict the future in a general way. The wisest man that ever lived, Solomon also asserted that there is nothing new under the sun after many years of studies and observational research about the behaviour of man on Earth. Is there anything new under this Earth? What we keep seeing is just the invention and recycling of the past. Evil did not began today, the precedence of evil is as old as Noah. In his days, the Lord God was sorry He made man on Earth, as a matter of fact, that generation broke the heart of God! God had documented evidence of all the evil and wickedness of man, God assessed and examined the nature, character and behaviour of the heart of man, and behold, it was full of evil, this was  during the era of Noah.

 

 

   Years have gone by and man has not become a better species, as a matter of fact, this generation has a concentrated form of evil , wickedness, lies and deceit from the pews to the pulpit, governance and leadership all over the word has not become better, stealing, lies, corruption, nepotism, hatred, road traffic accidents, day robbery by scholars in suits is on the rise, the impunity, disregard for the rule of law and Justice is just amazing, the selective justices, the insults, the disrespect for the elderly, the neglect of the weak and the vulnerable in society calls for sober reflection and  intervention. If you study your Bible very well, you will not be surprised so much about what is happening on daily basis.

 

  It is gratifying to note that Noah was not corrupted in his corrupt generation, he had favour  before God and preserved his family lineage. Never be worried about the happenings and the wickedness of our day, rather ask God for grace and strength to stay true to faith and conscience at all times, you are needed to stand for your generation, I hear the cry of favour all over the world. In your profession and field of work, all that you need is the favour of God to be able to execute your assignment. The world is not getting better, your school grades and academic credentials can not change anything without the grace of God.

You need the grace of God as a leader, as a doctor, as a nurse, as a man of God, as a husband and wife, as a professional in every facet of society to stay true and hold on to your faith to the end.

Many of our brothers and sisters are losing the faith, be admonished, be advised, be wise and stay true to the scriptures and study history to appreciate the times and season.

 

  May the Lord Jesus Christ supply to you the Holy Spirit in full measure and grant you the inner fortitude and resilience to the end in Jesus name.

Daniel 3:12

"There are certain Jews whom you have put over the business of the land of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego; these men have not given attention to you, O King: they are not servants of your gods or worshippers of the gold image which you have put up."

     May you be put in charge of the business of your country, community and family as the Lord appointed the three Hebrew guys even in a foreign land, you are coming into prominence and rulership in the name of Jesus and by the power of the Holy Spirit. You shall be chosen by reason of the presence of the Lord in your life, you shall be up only, you shall be promoted this month and given chargeship over the business of that office. May the Lord who supplies wisdom give you abundance of wisdom and knowledge in order to deliver results in that business office in Jesus name.

I see you coming into the limelight by reason of the unction of the Holy Spirit in Jesus name.

REJOICE

Ps.96.11 - Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice! Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise! [NLT]

 

   This new month of October shall be your rejoicing month, all that shall meet you shall shout for joy, heaven shall be glad because of your impact on earth. Rejoice, again I say rejoice in the Lord and celebrate your giftings and calling. The Lord has being very good towards us, we never imagined to come this far looking at the turbulence and the storms that predicated this year. If it we're not the Lord on our side, let Ghana say! By now, some of us would have been forgotten in the memory of humanity. It was never by our might nor power but by the Spirit of the Lord. We have every reason to rejoice and to be thankful to our Lord Jesus and the Father of all the earth whose mercy has procured for us life and placement in the school of life. I charge you and urge you to rejoice and be glad in the Lord, march forward and start this new month with courage, strength and tenacity as we end the year 2020 with confidence. You shall cross over to the other side of life, greater testimonies and blessings lies ahead of you, God is not done with you yet, as a matter of fact He has not started with some of you yet.

My God bless you, keep you, direct you, supply to you all the necessary supplies needed for the execution of your life assignment in Jesus name.
