John 15:12
"This is the law I give you: Have love one for another, even as I have love for you."
It is possible for christians to be operating in the Anointing and power without love. This becomes serious when the pastor's preoccupation is on power and anointing to the neglect of the love for humanity. This love goes beyond religious barrier, beyond academic barrier, beyond business and family ties. We have being commanded to love one another, is not an option but a must. Every Christian should always have a heart check especially pastors and leaders wether or not you really love your people or you are just pastoring them or leading for economic gains. Whatever you do must be predicated by love, your givings, your visits, your social interventions, your greetings, your calls and so on. Sometimes I see people greeting as if they were forced to do so, helping as if they were forced to do so. The wickedness in our world today especially in Africa of which Ghana holds no exception evidenced by the economic and educational marginalization, the poverty gap continuous to widen in the church and in countries who profess to be Christians. Christianity's greatest Hallmark is LOVE for God and humanity. For God so loved the world that He gave. Giving is the expression of love, if you love you give. We give our time and precious human resources to people because we love them, we give people our attention and help because we love them, we pray for people because we love them, we preach and teach people because we love them. As a matter of fact, LOVE for people should predicate leadership in politics, commerce, business and governance, you must lead people because you love them and not because of an economic gains and advantage you will take over them. The only thing that can change the world is love and not power and more anointing as many christians are looking for. How big is your love for humanity? Everything else will fail but love is the greatest and will abide forever. Instead of praying for more anointing, pray for more love to flood your heart. Love for all your colleagues and friends brings heart peace and inner satisfaction. Your love for people is evident in what you do for them.
