The purpose of the emergency Unit is to be at the forefront of saving lives and responding to critical health situations. The emergency department operates a 24 hour system. The health staff at this department comprise of Specialist doctors, medical doctors, house officers, emergency nurse specialists, general nurses, Anaesthetists, pharmacists. The meeting was meant to strengthen relationship and increase professional knowledge in the delivery of health care, coordinate & communicate effectively, ensure that emergency drugs and equipments are available at all times. In order to bridge the communication gap between staff and staff, health care providers and the general public about the way the emergency system runs, the department appointed Rev.Jefferson Agbotro Kwasi as the Public Relations officer for the department in order to enhance communication, leverage on relationship between health care providers and the general public. Expect innovation and Teamwork at the emergency department of the regional hospital. The new Head of Department is Dr. Korankye( Family Physician Specialist). Expect frequent updates of emergency services at the regional hospital - Sunyani.
