MASS HEALTH SCREENING REPORT ON JULY 1ST, 2016.
July 1ST marked the 8th anniversary of the Friends of Health Association-FOHA. Foha in partnership with Healthway Medical Laboratory, Smilecare Dental Clinic, Doram Pharmacy and GPRTU sunyani presented a free health screening on Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Dental Examination, Eye Examination, Nutritional Guidelines, Breast Examination and General Medical Consultation to the Sunyani Zongo community specifically at the Chiraa station.
In all one hundred and ninety-five (195) were screened. Conditions such as high blood pressure were detected, glaucoma, cataract, pterigyium among others.

The FOHA medical Team was made up of 34 member volunteers comprising of Chief Optometrist, Pharmacist, Dietician, Dental Surgeon, Physician Assistant, Nurses, Midwives, Nutritionists, Information Technologists and four Medical Students from Netherland. Every team member played his/her expected role for the success of the programme. Commitment and professionalism was beyound expectation. The programme started from 9am to 4pm. One hundred and fifty people were aslo dewormed kind courtesy Doram Pharmacy. There was a great collaboration and coordination among all volunteers. Every volunteer was glad that they were giving out their services to people.As the saying goes, volunteers are not paid not because they are worthless but because they are priceless.
FINANCIAL STATEMENT: we spent Gh 3, 500.00 in all.
