FOHA Project Report on Health Education at Impact School Complex, Berekum

FOHA PROJECT REPORT ON HEALTH EDUCATION  AT IMPACT SCHOOL COMPLEX, BEREKUM

On the 25th February, 2016, FOHA once again embarked upon a health educational outreach on child health at the above mentioned school in Kutre Number Two, a suburb of Berekum.

The programme was held during the schools’ parents and Teachers Association meeting.

The number of parents present were above fifty. Parents were educated on their children health in general with specific reference to personal hygiene.

Parents were educated on the need for periodic physical examination of their children from hair to toe, and to report any abnormality detected to the nearest health centre or hospital in order to prevent diseases and their complications.

Parents were also educated on proper nutrition for their wards in order to prevent malnutrition among children. The Proprietor of the school, Rev.Solomon Adomah Kwasi , on the behalf of the parents and Teacher thanked FOHA for making such programme available at their door steps at no cost.

CHALLENGES: Inadequate funding for medical kits.
RECOMMENDATION: FOHA is calling all to come to its aid in order to broaden its scope of work.
