As part of measures put in place by the medical director of the Sunyani regional hospital, DR. DR. E.K. AMPONSAH and his able team, the administration has sponsored 4 staff to the Maiden Emergency Medicine society of Ghana conference at Kath, Kumasi- Ghana. The Team was led by Dr. K. Korankye, the Head of Department of the emergency department ( Family Physician specialist). Other participants of the conference are : Irene Twumasiwaa Kumi ( Accident & Emergency Bay in charge), Lisa Ataa Peprah ( Accident & Emergency Ward In charge) and Richardson Boafo( Staff of Accident & Emergency Bay). Among course to be taken at the conference are :

# All about Blood Gas master class
The conference is supposed to end on the Friday 15th November, 2019. The conference is to create platform of learning and sharing of best practices and modern ways of managing emergency cases. The Sunyani regional hospital management has promised to train all staff at the Emergency department after the return from the conference. This forms part of the joint measure put together by management and the HOD to revamp and improve upon emergency medicine in the facility.
