FAITH, the Overcoming Power

1 John 5:5
"Who is able to overcome the world but the man who has faith that Jesus is the Son of God?"
The Christian is also confronted with the same challenge that the unbeliever is confronted with. We thought our daily life challenges would be done away automatically when we came to accept Jesus Christ. This notion puts a lot of chriatians on the defeating side of life. We are told to wage the good warfare, we are told to fight the good fight of faith, we are told to overcome, we are told to resist all temptations and weapons the devil throws against our life in Jesus name. How do we then overcome all these challenges? The text this morning is enjoining us to overcome with faith. How? By believing in the Lord Jesus and His ability and willingness to come to our aid in times of trouble. We must believe in the power of our Lord to rescue us, His power to strengthen us in times of weakness, His power to enable us to do all things. We overcome with His ability given us by the Holy Spirit. This make us bold and courageous in the midst of storms and life challenges. We must live by faith if we are going to overcome in this life. Faith comes by the studies and meditation on the word of God. The word of God contains all the abilities to make us victorious. May you overcome every challenge today in Jesus name.
Declare: I am an Overcomer, I overcome every challenge in life, I overcome weakness in body, spirit and soul, I overcome fear, I overcome the opinions of men and break every tradition and philosophy that undermines my heritage in Christ Jesus now and forever.
