Welcome Message

On behalf of the Emergency Medicine Society (EMSOG) 2019 Local Planning Committee, it is our greatest honor to welcome you to the maiden Emergency Medicine Conference in Ghana, to be convened between November 12 and 15, 2019 at Golden Bean Hotel in Kumasi, Ghana. 

Emergency medicine in Ghana has seen some growth over the last ten years with many milestones reached amidst multiple challenges. The formation of the Emergency Medicine Society of Ghana is the beginning of a unified front for emergency care in Ghana. 

The conference under the theme: A DECADE OF EMERGENCY MEDICINE IN GHANA: THE IMPACT AND THE FUTURE will have various activities. These will include plenary lectures, parallel abstract sessions, special lectures, pre-conference workshops, exhibitions, social and networking events.  The education, clinical skill and research discussions at the conference will ensure strong network ties for future collaboration. 
In commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of Emergency Medicine in Ghana, Kumasi is ready to host you with its rich Ashanti culture. 

The local planning committee is certain that the conference will serve as fertile ground for the fruition of new possibilities in Emergency Medicine in Ghana and its effects resonant throughout Africa. We would like to ask for your support in diverse ways to make the conference a success.
