Private Health Facilities across the country Ghana would from today Wednesday 24th November to Friday 26th November, 2021 hold their maiden Annual General Meeting. This meeting seeks to bring a private health facilities in the country which comprises of Hospitals, Health Centers, Diagnostic Centers, Medical Laboratory, and it's allies. The Private Health facilities in Ghana have made a tremendous contribution to the development of the health sector of Ghana and by extension the growth of the Ghanaian economy. This meeting affords actors and players in this industries to celebrate success chalked over the years, find sustainable solutions to key challenges confronting the private health facilities, consolidate gains made over the years. The AGM would be bringing together key stakeholders and policy makers in this field to leverage on their strength for Developement. Some of the expected dignitaries are Dr. Bannor Philip- CEO, HEFRA, Mr. Anthony Amekah - Chamber of Pharmacy, Board Chairman - NHIA, Otumfour representative to, US AID representative, Parliamentary select committee on health, WHO representative, Director General - Ghana Health Service.
Other invited guests include DANIDA, DFID, GIZ, GPAA, GRNMA, JICA, MARIE STOPES, Ashanti regional ministers, Ashanti regional director of health services, KMA, MDC, GMLS, just to mention but few.
The co - founder and acting president of the Association, Dr. Samuel Buabeng - Frimpong is calling on all private health facilities across the country to come together in order to collaborate and partner for good health outcome. He added that the private health facilities across the country have made valuable contributions towards the achievement of universal health coverage in Ghana.
